Mountain Trails

The mountain trails project is aiming to provide better visualization for mountain trails that are present in the OpenStreetMap data set. Although OpenStreetMap allows defining mountain trails by grouping segments (ways) as part of a relation, relations are not shown in OpenStreetMap maps. http://gis.modulo.ro builds a view of the OpenStreetMap data set that features the list of mountain trails from a given mountain zone and a couple of ways of interacting with trails, such as exporting in KML (Google Earth) format and the possibility of locating the relation that has been used to source the trail rendering. |
